Blue Velvet Revisited
Dreißig Jahre nach David Lynchs Blue Velvet rekurriert Peter Braatz auf jene originalen Super-8-Aufnahmen, die er 1985 im Auftrag des Kultregisseurs am Set in Wilmington aufnahm. Blue Velvet Revisited komponiert Bewegtbilder, Tonaufnahmen, Fotografien, Gemälde, Objekte und Relikte zu einem neuen, tributzollenden Dokumentarfilm – eine Geschichte, die keiner Erzählung bedarf – eine Neuinterpretation als Reise, um einen längst vergessenen Schatz zu heben.
In 1985, David Lynch invited a young German filmmaker named Peter Braatz onto the set of his latest production, Blue Velvet. Over the next couple of months, Braatz recorded hours of footage, shot thousands of photographs and conducted numerous interviews with the cast and crew. Director's Biography
PETER BRAATZ, born in Solingen in 1959, is an award-winning German editor, director, and punk singer, also known as Harry Rag. He studied at the DFFB – German Film and Television Academy Berlin.
