Deadweight
Ahti Ikonen ist Kapitän eines großen Containerschiffes. Unter Zeitdruck weist er seine Besatzung beim Löschen der Fracht in Savannah vorschriftswidrig an, den lokalen Hafenarbeitern zu helfen. Als in der Folge ein Crewmitglied stirbt, muss Ahti die Verantwortung übernehmen. Die Nachricht des Vorfalls macht die Runde, und im nächsten Hafen ist er mit einem Boykottaufruf organisierter Arbeiter konfrontiert. Director's Biography
AXEL KOENZEN was born in Hilden, in the Rhineland region of Germany, in 1972. He studied photography at the International Center of Photography in New York and worked as a freelance photographer and visual researcher. He studied then at the DFFB – German Film and Television Academy Berlin.
