Keeper

Im einen Moment noch hoffnungslos verliebt, im nächsten mit der unliebsamen Realität des Erwachsenwerdens konfrontiert. Wie andere Fünfzehnjährige können Maxime und Mélanie gar nicht genug voneinander bekommen. Als Mélanie schwanger wird, bricht ihre Welt genauso abrupt zusammen, wie sie entstanden war. Sie versuchen den Widrigkeiten des Lebens mit jener Reife zu begegnen, die eine solche Situation vermeintlich erfordert: Sie entscheiden, das Baby zu behalten. Bald beginnt Maxime dennoch zu zweifeln. Er ist hin und hergerissen zwischen seinem unbändigen Wunsch, professionell Fußball zu spielen und der Aufgabe, Vater zu sein.

Maxime and Mélanie are in love. Together, they clumsily explore their sexuality with fiery curiosity until the day Mélanie realizes she is pregnant. At first, Maxime takes the news badly, but then he gets used to the idea of becoming a father. He convinces Mélanie to keep the baby.

Director's Biography
GUILLAUME SENEZ was born in Uccle, Belgium, and studied at the INRACI –L’Institut national de radioélectricité et cinématographie. He is the author of severalcritically acclaimed short films. They have been shown and awarded at various filmfestivals around the world.
