How to Disappear Completely
Gerda trifft die „Kleine Räuberin“ in der Berliner Unterwelt, der U-Bahn. Nur zehn, zwölf Stunden bleiben, bis sie sich wieder trennen werden. Aus gemeinsamen Interessen, aus dem Interesse aneinander wird eine Liebesaffäre. Der Film spinnt sich wie ein Free-Jazz-Stück fort, moduliert Farben, Lichtblitze, Tempo, klingt und riecht wie eine Sommernacht in der Großstadt. Doch alles vergeht, jede Sekunde, jede Minute. Das Leben ist eine Wiederholung winziger Elemente, die nur einen Moment lang währen. Es gibt kein Kino mehr. Film war schon immer ein Traum und Berlin (nur) ein Vorwand. (Przemysław Wojcieszek)
Gerda meets Little Robber Girl in the Berlin subway. There's only ten, twelve hours until they part. The common interests turn into a love affair, and all ends in the morning. But there's still a huge space to navigate through by night. The film gets as close as possible to a free jazz composition. It's about colors, flickering lights, rush, sounds and the smell of a summer night in the city. Everything passes and dies each minute as life is a never-ending sequence of things held for just a moment. There's no cinema anymore. And what was known as cinema is now just an intention of holding a camera. There's poetry and music coming from the streets, and we repeat the verses aloud. (Przemysław Wojcieszek)

Przemysław Wojcieszek is a renowned Polish film and theater director. His films have been awarded internationally. Crossing Europe paid a tribute to Wojcieszek's oeuvre in 2013.
