Dario Argento, Chef-Fantast des italienischen Kinos, adaptiert Bram Stokers wuchtigen Roman zum knapp zweistündigen Mummenschanz, gemäß Jahrmarktsethos natürlich auch noch in 3D. Das heißt Thomas Kretschmann schmalzt und beißt sich durch herzzerreißend altmodische Kulissen, verwandelt sich in Wolf, Kakerlake und eine gigantische Gottesanbeterin (!), während Kult-Holländer Rutger Hauer als Abraham Van Helsing Jagd auf ihn macht. Schon jetzt ein Film Maudit, für alle mit offenem Geist vor allem eine berauschende Hyper-Trash-Erfahrung und essenzielle B-Filmkunst. Transylvania, 1893. Jonathan Harker, a young librarian, arrives at the village of Passo Borgo to work for Count Dracula, a noble man from the area.
