Under the Skin
Ihr Zuhause ist die Straße, die Nacht ihr Verbündeter: In einem Lieferwagen fährt Laura allein durch Schottland. Pechschwarzes Haar, blutrote Lippen, ständig auf der Suche nach Beute. In grellen Clubs, auf Parkplätzen und in dunklen Gassen findet sie immer willige Opfer: einsame, gelangweilte Männer, die auf schnellen Sex hoffen und der überirdischen Schönheit nichtsahnend in die Falle gehen. Wenn sie begreifen, was sie erwartet, ist es bereits zu spät: Die verführerische Vagabundin ist nicht von dieser Welt, und auf ihrem Heimatplaneten herrschen ganz spezielle kulinarische Vorlieben ... Doch allmählich kommen Laura Zweifel an ihrer tödlichen Mission.
On Scotland’s lonely back roads, a beautiful woman stalks unwitting men. Her identity and her motives unclear, she is simply, and quite literally, a sexual threat. Her eyes deadened but alert, she prowls night streets and deserted locales in a white van, seeking male victims. More could be said about the plot, but it’s best to allow UNDER THE SKIN to reveal itself. From its arresting first image – a pure, white pinpoint of light – it expands outward to become an increasingly absorbing mystery. Regie Biografie
Jonathan Glazer, born 1965 in London, Great Britain. After receiving a BA degree with honors in Theater Design and Direction at the Nottingham Trent University, Glazer started out directing theater and making film and television trailers before becoming popular for directing TV commercials and music videos. In 2000 he had his feature film debut with SEXY BEAST.
