Weeping over my Ideals – Cherry Sunkist
Im Musikvideo von Cherry Sunkist wird die Stadt als spontane Bühne benutzt. Durch die Aneignung urbaner öffentlicher Räume und der spontanen Einbindung der PassantInnen wird ein Dialog provoziert, der in seinem Mix aus Vergnügen und übersteigerten popkulturellen Posen und Gesten die zentrale Frage des Songs verhandelt: “In front of bodies and belongings, I´m standing here, not sure if the hat, the base, the beat, can beat my words, my words, my words…”
In Cherry Sunkist's new music video, the city is used as a spontaneous stage. Appropriating urban public space and spontaneously involving passers-by provokes a dialog that negotiates the central question of the song in a mix of pleasure and exaggerated pop-cultural poses and gestures: "In front of bodies and belonging, I'm standing here, not sure if the hat, the base, the beat, can beat my words, my words, my words…"
Director's Biography
