Generation C.K.O.D.
Zwei Jahre einer Band namens The Cool Kids of Death. Piotr Szczepańskis Kamera begleitet die Mitglieder der Gruppe bei allen wichtigen Stationen ihres Weges von gewöhnlichen Individuen zu Stars. Weit entfernt, bloß ein Musikfilm zu sein, versucht diese Dokumentation, die Mechanismen hinter Medien und Popkultur zu zeigen, die Erschaffung eines Images, und wie dieses Image eine unkontrollierbare Eigendynamik entwickelt.
The documentary Generation C.K.O.D is an attempt to show the transformation of unemployed university graduates into public figures, forced to cope with the image created for them by the media. The film is about rebellion against commercialisation and about the commercialisation of rebellion. (Piotr Szczepański)
