Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft? Völlig außer Kraft gesetzt vom die Welt aus den Fugen hebenden Phänomen einer nicht-linearen und somit willkürlich verlaufenden Zeit. Die Menschen müssen damit zurechtkommen, nicht zu wissen, was gestern erst sein wird, morgen schon war und heute wohl von Bedeutung ist – ein Umstand, der ermöglicht, ganz im Moment zu leben, für viele zwischenmenschliche Beziehungen aber äußerst herausfordernd ist. So auch für das Paar Penelope und Isidoros, das im Zentrum von Kyros Papavassilious mal absurd-komischer, mal existenziell-ernster Erzählung steht: An die Grenzen der Belastbarkeit gebracht, suchen sie um ihrer Liebe zueinander willen nach einem Ausweg. Penelope and Isidoros live in a world where today they are lovers but the following day they scarcely know one another. It is a place where time doesn’t flow, where the days appear randomly in the past, the present, and the future – if these concepts even apply here. Their relationship is constantly changing; it is one continuous uncertainty marked by shared searching and reassuring. Somewhere next to their world is another where time is linear. It is possible to travel from arbitrary time to linear time, but the conditions for such a journey are mysterious and the price is high… An imaginative film about the paradoxes of time and of romantic and other relationships.
