Catherine Ann Berger (Switzerland)

born 1965, studied theatre and film in Vienna. From 1997 till June 2003 she hosted the award-winning programme ”Kulturzeit” on 3sat. is a film reporter for Swiss television and works for the production firm “CATPICS COPRODUCTIONS” in cinematic and stage project development. For five years she has also been working for the Documentary Film Festival “Visions du réel” in Nyon (Switzerland).

Rastislav Steranka (Slovakia)

born 1977 in Trebišov, Slovakia. Has been working for the Int. Film Festival Bratislava since 2003. In 2006 he co-founded Int. Film Festival Cinematik in Piešťany, Slovakia, and is responsible for the overall festival programme focusing mostly on European cinema. In 2007 he started working for MEDIA Desk Slovakia. Lives and works in Bratislava.

Koen Van Daele (Belgium)

born in Tielt, Belgium, in 1963. Is a film critic, programmer and organiser. in 1989 he co-founded the Brussels based film, arts and media centre Argos. has been curator of several projects relating to film, video, and art. In 2006 he became director of the Island – Institute for the Development of Film culture and programme director of the annual International Film Festival Kino Otok / Isola Cinema.

Belinda van de Graaf (The Netherlands)

born 1967, studied film and art history at the university of Amsterdam and worked at the Dutch Film museum, before becoming established as a film critic for Dutch daily newspaper Trouw (www.trouw.nl). Co-editor of De Filmkrant (www.filmkrant.nl).

Srđan Vuletić (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

born 1971. Graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts Sarajevo, where he directed four plays, as well as a number of short student films. as a member of SAGA (Sarajevo group of authors) he directed several documentaries and received a number of awards for his films. Works as an assistant professor at the Academy of Performing Arts Sarajevo, director’s department. SUMMER IN THE GOLDEN VALLEY (CROSSING EUROPE 2004), IT‘S HARD TO BE NICE SEE (CROSSING EUROPE 2008).

GISELA HESSER (VIENNA)

Born in 1969 in Tragwein. 1992 completed carpentry training. 2000 graduated with a degree in architecture. Since 1987 project work in the areas of film, architecture, design, NPO and social work. 2006 winner of the CROSSING EUROPE Award Local Artist for WIR LAWOGFRAUEN HABEN‘S SCHÖN, together with Gregor Stadlober, with whom she also made the experimental film RUCKZUCK.

RAIMUND LIEBERT (VIENNA)

Born in 1981 in Vienna. Projects in art and cultural pedagogy (film/video, theatre), curator of film events. Studied theatre, film and media studies in Vienna. Founder and organiser of the short film festival VIS Vienna Independent Shorts. Since 2006 responsible for the programme of the Schikaneder Cinema and head of PR for Topkino in Vienna.

GENOVEVA RÜCKERT (LINZ)

Born 1974. Studied Art History and Culture Management, Art Education and Design and Technology in Graz, Linz and Karlsruhe. Curator at the O.K Center for Contemporary Art; worked prior to that at the Grazer Kunstverein and for the working group contemporary art in Graz. Chair of the Forum – Friends and Graduates of the ArtUniversity Linz, teaches at the Art University Linz.
