Me Too
Thirty-four-year-old Daniel is the first European with Down syndrome to have graduated from university. He starts a social services job in Seville, where he meets free-spirited coworker Laura. They soon become friends, drawing the attention of both coworkers and families. Their unique relationship turns problematic. These rebellious souls, however, refuse to bend to the rules. Yo, también is one of the most surprising films of the last year, with two spectacularly good protagonists. Sharp and convincing, humorous and moving.
Director's Biography
Álvaro Pastor, geb. 1972 in Madrid. Studierte Drehbuch und Regie, Schauspiel und Musik. Arbeitet als Regisseur und Drehbuchautor. Er realisierte fünf Kurzfilme und begann vor 14 Jahren mit Naharro zusammen zu arbeiten. Antonio Naharro, geb. 1968 in Albacete. Studierte Schauspiel und Gestalttherapie. Arbeitet als Drehbuchautor, Regisseur und Produzent. Me Too ist das Spielfilmdebüt der beiden Regisseure, und gewann zahlreiche Preise.
