The Silent Twins

Once upon a time, two sisters very much alike decided to talk only to each other. Based on the real lives of June and Jennifer Gibbons, sisters who grew up part of the only Black family in a small town. The two became known as "the silent twins" because of their refusal to communicate with anyone else and became catatonic when separated. Effectively abandoned by the state, their intense creativity and imagination led to them developing their own language and throwing off convention. After being imprisoned they face the choice to separate and survive or die together. An engrossing and sensitive interpretation of the true story of a dark time in recent Welsh history.
