Tanzschwärme

Chironomids fly swarm formations to generate a humming sound to entice the other sex. These midges filmed against a backlight look like dancing, twitching stars that a chaotic order holds together. The soundtrack makes the sound of this racetrack of love audible.

Director's Biography
