Quitter la nuit

Through the Night

Anna works the evening shift at the emergency call center and answers when Aly calls in. Pretending to speak to her babysitting sister, Aly manages to convey that she is threatened with her life by the man driving the car with her, who has just raped her. Debutante Delphine Girard expands her Oscar-nominated short film A SISTER into an intelligent and thrilling feature film that twists and turns perspectives, ultimately landing firmly on its own conviction about consent, placing the blame where it belongs. But first, it seeks to understand all parties involved. It also serves as a call for female sisterhood and the importance of laughter amidst the darkness. (Göteborg Film Festival)
