Hugo

Zdzisław Misiak, known as Dzidek, the retired king of amusement parks, lives with his 7-year-old grandson Hugo Huang in one of the left over barracks on the site of a once prospering business. The growing bond and relationship between them is valued above all, and the memory of Hugo's mother who passed away to soon, leaving a scar in their hearts. Director's Biography
Wojciech Klimala
Polish director, screenwriter, editor and producer born in 1984. He earned his degree in directing from the Czech film school Filmová Akademie Miroslava Ondříčka v Písku in 2011, then graduated from the DOK PRO programme at the Wajda Film School. For the past two years he has been associated with Warner Music Polska, where he works on music and promotional videos. “Hugo” (2017) is his first documentary feature film.
