Hoard

Luna Carmoon’s 2023 directorial debut is an incredibly consuming and visceral exploration of trauma – once HOARD has grabbed you, there’s no turning back. We first meet Maria at seven years old, living a colourful but cluttered existence with her mother in London. After an unfortunate accident, we fast-forward to Maria’s teenage years living with a foster mother, where she meets the equally fascinating and dysfunctional Michael. Featuring truly captivating performances by Saura Lightfoot Leon and "Stranger Things" star Joseph Quinn, this film will take you places you didn’t think cinema could, and its slimy, cathartic surreality will grip you long after the credits have rolled.
