Dies d'agost

The feature-essay film-documentary hybrid August Days traces the experiences of Marc (Marc Recha) – a writer living in Spain who hits a dead end while trying to create an artistic work based on the memoirs of a dead friend – and Marc‘s twin brother David (David Recha). Despondent and frustrated, Marc concedes to David‘s request to set the project aside and accompany him on a cross-country trip through Catalonia. Along the way, the partially estranged siblings re-cement old ties with one another, experience a string of chance encounters with strangers, and hear enchanting and eccentric local yarns. As the men travel, the indigenous country that surrounds them sends memories flooding back and begins to colour and define the shifting emotional landscape of their relationship. (Nathan Southern)
