Houses for all
Shortly after the collapse of the housing bubble in the U.S., Spain suffered the same fate. Till then the high demand, combined with a careless credit policy of the banks, led to the realization of gigantic settlements. Now there are newly built holiday resorts that have never seen one tourist, half-finished skyscrapers that slowly expire and new roads that lead to nowhere. A total of 3.6 million homes stand empty in Spain. CASAS PARA TODOS is a film about the visible relicts of the financial crisis and raises the question what's left after promising plans and big hopes.
Director's Biography
GEREON WETZEL, born 1972 in Bonn, Germany. He studied archaeology in Heidelberg, and from 2000 to 2006 at the department of documentary film at the University of Television and Film Munich.
