The visual artist Franz Xaver Ecker has always been a stranger to mediocrity. At the Vienna Academy, an outstanding artist career was prophesied for him, but the academic painter went back to his parents’ home in Leonding. The battle with himself and his surroundings began – the rest is local history.
Director's Biography
Andreas Egger, geboren 1967 in Linz. Studium an der Universität für künstlerische und industrielle Gestaltung Linz, Bereich Experimentelle Visuelle Gestaltung (u.a. Film bei Martin Arnold und Peter Tscherkassky), Abschluss bei Prof. Herbert Lachmayer. 1995-1997 Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien, Abteilung Film und Fernsehen in Wien, Fächer Produktion/Drehbuch.
