Beschwert durch die Last der Geschichte und seinen zwiespältigen Ruhm beschließt Karl Marx, ins ordinäre Leben einzutauchen. Fortan läuft er als historischer Niemand durch die Handlung und trifft ausgerechnet auf das Sternchen Marilyn Monroe, das vom glamourösen Starrummel träumt. Karl verhilft Marilyn zum Karrieredurchbruch, doch der Enthusiasmus währt nicht lange. Priit Pärns jüngster Film behandelt noch einmal die Konfrontation des real existierenden Kapitalismus mit einer idealistischen Sozialutopie, die an der Wirklichkeit scheiterte.

Burdened by the weight of history and his ambivalent fame, Karl Marx decides to dive into ordinary life. From that point on, he wanders through the plot as a historical nobody and runs into none other than the starlet Marilyn Monroe, who dreams of the glamorous hustle and bustle of stardom. Karl helps Marilyn make a breakthrough in her career, but the enthusiasm does not last long. Priit Pärn‘s most recent film deals once again with the confrontation between really existing capitalism and an ideal social utopia that reality broke down.
