Let’s live together!
27.08.2024 // Community is considered the primal form of living together and forms the basis of every society. It appears in countless forms and is defined by one thing in particular, namely a sense of belonging – to a family, a village or even a religion, a (political?) party or a youth organisation.
With six documentaries and one feature film, the film screenings offer insights into the most diverse models of social and cultural coexistence. Partly located in rural areas and in the context of current societal realities and developments, the program invites the audience to immerse themselves in multifaceted stories of life in today's Europe. Film talks and the panel discussion “Salzkammergut, let's live together!” (21.9.) provide opportunities for direct discussion on these topics.
From September 16 to 21, around 30 young people from Modeschule Ebensee and Salinen AG will participate in a video project, within which they will explore a topic artistically and make their own short films – professionally supported by the community TV station DORFTV.
With this project, the Kulturverein Kino Ebensee and Crossing Europe Filmfestival Linz want to promote the cultural and creative diversity of the region as part of the European Capital of Culture Salzkammergut 2024 and open up new perspectives for social and intergenerational cohabitation through the medium of film.
