THE BLACK HOLE is a sexy mix of Cronenberg, Spielberg and Lyne (and GREMLINS) influences, with which director Moonika Siimets has managed to create the perfect film of sinful pleasure. The film follows three interconnected stories. Sirje volunteers to take part in extraterrestrial science experiments; Jüri falls in love with a lusty neighbour; and Uma is a fearless bodybuilder who dreams of a world without violent men so she can help her partner Mariliis get well. Inspired by the short stories of Andrus Kivirähki and Armin Kõomägi, this clever script weaves together cosmic orgasms, existential lust and ancient culinary wisdom. (Estonian Film Institute)
