40-year-old Maria, a wife, mother and career woman, struggles to raise four children and meet the challenges of a demanding career head on, while her second husband, Sigmund, travels constantly. As their marriage gradually buckles under the weight of competing demands, and despite Maria's desperate attempts to save their relationship, Sigmund announces that he wants to divorce her, forcing her to come face to face with her worst fears.
