Christiania

The parents of director Karl Friis Forchhammer left the Christiania neighborhood when he was born, yet they never stopped maintaining ties with their former neighbors. The director thus spent his youth in Copenhagen, Denmark, moving between an urban city district and the independent community of Christiania. In an eponymous feature-length documentary, he looks back on more than fifty years of a turbulent history with an incisive and humorous narrative. (Aurelie Geron, CPH:DOX)
